- Single of the Year: "I Run To You" by Lady Antebellum (Capitol Records Nashville)
- Song of the Year: "In Color" Written by Jamey Johnson, Lee Thomas Miller and James Otto
- Musical Event of the Year: "Start A Band" Brad Paisley (duet with Keith Urban)
- Music Video of the Year: "Love Story" by Taylor Swift, Directed by Trey Fanjoy
- Musician of the Year: Mac McAnally - Guitar

George Strait Heads CMA Lineup
UPI reports that Country Music Awards have announced a lineup that will be led by country star George Strait.The CMA announced Monday the performance lineup includes Strait, Kenny Chesney, Dierks Bently and Gretchen Wilson.You can see a continually updating list of stars that will appear on the CMAs on this page on the Country Music Awards website.
The CMA gala will take place Nov. 6 at the Gaylord Entertainment Center and will be hosted by the duo Brooks and Dunn, who will also perform along with Rascal Flats and Alan Jackson.
