39th Annual CMA Award Winners Announced

The winners of the 39th Annual CMA Awards were announced in a live broadcast on CBS. Keith Urban was named Entertainer of the Year and also won his his second consecutive CMA Male Vocalist award. Lee Ann Womack won three CMA Awards for Album, Single and Musical Event of the Year. Womack said, "If you listen to music that doesn't touch you or mean anything to you, listen to Country Music. We have songs that speak to you and songs that will touch you." Here is a complete list of the winners.

  • Male Vocalist of the Year: Keith Urban
  • Horizon Award: Dierks Bentley
  • Vocal Group of the Year: Rascal Flatts
  • Vocal Duo of the Year: Brooks & Dunn
  • Single of the Year: "I May Hate Myself In The Morning" - Lee Ann Womack Produced by Byron Gallimore (MCA Nashville)
  • Musician of the Year: Jerry Douglas - Dobro
  • Album of the Year: There's More Where That Came From - Lee Ann Womack Produced by Byron Gallimore/Greg Droman (MCA Nashville)
  • Music Vidoe of the Year: "As Good As I Once Was" - Toby Keith Directed by Michael Salomon
  • Musical Event of the Year: George Strait (Duet with Lee Ann Womack) "Good News, Bad News" MCA Nashville
