Country Music Award Winners Announced

The winners of the 40th annual Country Music Awards (2006 CMAs) have been announced. Brooks & Dunn won three awards including Single of the Year for "Believe." Here is a list of this year's winners. Brad Paisley and Carrie Underwood won two awards each. Brooks & Dunn and Brad Paisley had lead the nominees with six nominations each. The awards show was also hosted by Brooks & Dunn this year.   • Vocal Group of the Year: Rascal Flatts
  • Vocal Duo of the Year: Brooks & Dunn
  • Male Vocalist of the Year: Keith Urban
  • Musical Event of the Year: Brad Paisley (Featuring Dolly Parton) "When I Get Where I'm Going" Arista Nashville
  • Horizon Award: Carrie Underwood
  • Female Vocalist of the Year: Carrie Underwood
  • Album of the Year: Time Well Wasted by Brad Paisley, Produced by Chris DuBois/Frank Rogers(Arista Nashville)
  • Entertainer of the Year: Kenny Chesney
