Oscar for Toy Story 3?
L.A. Times's blog The Envelope writes that Toy Story 3 could be an oscar contendor in 2010. With a script by Michael Arndt (Little Miss Sunshine) and animation once again by Pixar it certainly has the potential to be nominated in a few categories. Lee Unkrich is also back as director. Andy Samberg to Host MTV Movie Awards
Andy Samberg is going to host this year's MTV Movie Awards.
Andy Samberg is set to front the 18th annual edition of the cheeky awards show—which will likely be dominated by all things Twilight and Dark Knight—on May 31 at the Gibson Amphitheater in Universal City, Calif.Andy Sandberg has also had a number of digital short hits from SNL including Chronicles of Narnia (Lazy Sunday) and I'm on a Boat. It will be fun to see what he does spoofing the big movies.
"Andy Samberg has been tapped to be the host," E! News' Ryan Seacrest revealed this morning. "He's great."
"I'm super excited to host the Movie Awards," the comic cutie said in a statement. "I grew up watching the show and a lot of the past hosts are heroes of mine. Plus my friends and I were writers for the show prior to working at SNL, so it will be a sweet and satisfying homecoming. I can't wait to act really important."

2009 Oscar Winners
The Oscars winners were pretty predictable Sunday night but the way the main acting awards were presented was both novel and an improvement. It was interesting hearing what each actor or actress had to say about each nominees. 14th Annual Critics' Choice Award Winners Announced
Slumdog Millionaire swept the Critics Choice Awards with five wins including Best Picture and Best Director. Sean Penn won Best Actor for Milk and there was a tied for Best Actress with Anne Hathaway and Meryl Streep. Heather Ledger won Best Supprting Actor and Kate Winslet won Best Supporting Actress.
